Employer Program Overview | Frequently Asked Questions by Employers and Employees
New York employers have a tremendous opportunity to help their employees save for one of the most important investments they will ever make
- the college education of their children.
Key Features of the Program for Employers
- High-value, low-cost investment management and client service. Employees get high-value, low-cost investments and client service by Vanguard.
- Upromise Rewards as an optional, free benefit.
Employees can join Upromise Rewards for free and get money back for their Program account when they shop with hundreds of America's leading companies.
- Convenient online account access for employees.
With the Program's enhanced online services, employees can open and manage their accounts any time, day or night.
- Payroll deduction not mandatory.
The Program supports two types of payroll deduction (ACH and Check), but employers do not need to offer payroll deduction in order for employees to participate in the Program.
As an alternative, employees can contribute to the Program from their own bank accounts, which can minimize administrative work for you.
- Portability. The Program is portable, and employees can continue participation in the Program when they change employers.
- Program representatives available for seminars and employee benefits fairs.
